What is CryptoBlades?
CryptoBlades is a role-playing game created by Riveted Games on the Binance Smart Chain. The game features blockchain technology and NFT integration through its characters and weapons. Since the characters and weapons in the game are NFTs, players have the full rights in selling and trading the assets through the marketplace.
In the game, players can immerse themselves in the growing community and economy of CryptoBlades through its play-to-earn features by gathering a token called $SKILL which can be traded, sold, or purchased by anyone in the ecosystem.
How to Play CryptoBlades?
CryptoBlades is a web-based game so players will NOT have to download anything to access the game. Kindly be careful of any suspicious links or downloads that you encounter on the internet.
Players will just have to have access to the internet to connect to the game through their official website, press the “Enter Game” button, and select your preferred network.
Note that the game is deployed on Binance Smart Chain and players must have a sufficient amount of $BNB to cover for the gas fees in the game transactions. Players must also have a Metamask wallet and connect it to the game for storage and access of $BNB and $SKILL tokens as well as verification and access of obtained NFT assets such as weapons and characters.
To start in the game, players must also have a minimum of 4.6 $SKILL tokens to mint their first character.
What is the Gameplay of CryptoBlades?
In the game, there exists four different elements namely fire, earth, lightning, and water. Players will have to mint their first character in the Plaza for an amount of 4.6 $SKILL tokens. Each minted character will have a starting stamina of 200 and each battle will consume 40 stamina. Stamina will recharge one stamina every five minutes.
In order to join a battle, players must pay the $BNB transaction gas fees needed to register the battle log into the blockchain. Players will be rewarded by $SKILL tokens and character experience if they win the simulated battle.

To make the combat experience deeper, the game also features NFT weapons. The weapons in the game also have different elements just like the characters but they are divided further among different star rarities (1-star up to 5-star).
The game will provide the player with a 1-star weapon upon minting a character but players can further improve their combat capabilities through forging weapons. Forging weapons feature the following forge rates:
- 1-star: 44% chance
- 2-star: 35% chance
- 3-star: 15% chance
- 4-star: 5% chance
- 5-star: 1% chance
Additionally, players can also reforge their weapons using undesired weapons to increase the power of their chosen weapon. Note that reforging weapons will not increase the rarity of the desired weapon and it will also not change the weapon’s elements and attributes.
How Much $SKILL Can I Earn in CryptoBlades?
The amount of $SKILL tokens earned from each battle depends on how powerful the defeated enemies are. According to the official whitepaper of CryptoBlades, the formula for computing the rewards per battle is shown below.
