In the following weeks, players can expect to see a number of changes to the game, including the ability to use the Empowered Keyword when it’s in the last position in players’ hand, the option to change players’ hand cards position in settings, and a number of other improvements!
Incoming UI Updates
Below is a list of some of the key incoming UI updates that players can expect to see in the coming weeks.
1. Ability to use Empowered Keyword when it’s in the last position in players’ hands.
One of the most significant changes coming to the game is the ability to use the Empowered Keyword when it’s in the last position in players’ hand. Previously, players were unable to use the right-most card in their hand if it had the keyword ‘Empower’. With the upcoming fix, all players will be able to toggle all cards in their hand, even the last one, especially if it has the keyword Empower.
2. Option to change players’ hand cards position in settings.
Another major change coming to the game is the option to change players’ hand cards’ position in settings. With the upcoming release, players will be able to choose the position of their hand cards to show up in the center or on the right. All players need to do is customize their settings to select the option they’re most comfortable playing with. For desktop, the default is center, while for mobile, it’s right. This feature is subject to revision based on player feedback.
3. Correctly position the mana pip hit area for all players.
The team is also working to correct the position of the mana pip hit area for all players. It was noticed that in a match if a player tried to click on the last mana pip, the hitbox would incorrectly deviate to the right. As a result, players couldn’t use mana on certain turns. The team is now working to fix the hit area for all mana pips so that players can easily click on any of the 3 mana pips to activate them.
4. Correctly display players’ names, even if they are very long.
The team is addressing the issue of players’ names being cut off when they exceed a certain character limit. Previously, if a player had a name longer than 15 characters, the name bar would not fully display it. The team has developed a solution to this problem and it will be included in the upcoming update. The new update will look as follows:
5. Tutorial Mission 1, where the opponent’s mana wheel was highlighted instead of a player’s.
The team is also working to fix Tutorial Mission 1, where the opponent’s mana wheel was highlighted instead of a player’s. This bug affected many new players while learning the ropes of the game in Tutorial Mission 1. The team is now working to correctly highlight a player’s mana wheel instead of the opponent’s on the player’s 2nd turn.
6. Small ‘bag of tricks’ shows up from both players’ perspectives in a match.
The team is addressing an issue where the ‘bag of tricks’ feature was not appearing for both players in a match. Players have reported that sometimes the feature would not appear when one player tried to use it. The team is working to resolve this issue and ensure that the ‘bag of tricks’ feature is always available for both players in all matches.
The team has been listening to player feedback and is working to address a number of issues mentioned in this article. These incoming UI updates will be available in the coming weeks, and the team will share more information and exact release dates soon. With these changes, the game will be more accessible and enjoyable for players of all levels.
